Club annual meeting -
Was held Wed 13 December: 1900 at the Harbour Project, Swingpump Lane, Whitehaven.
Members enjoyed a buffet organised by Andy (thanks Andy!) and we welcomed David Topliss as Junior Coordinator. A slide show showing club activities during the year was provided by Alastair. The draft minutes are here: Minutes of the AGM 2017
It's Summer but water temperatures may be low. It can be challenging in windy conditions so please ensure you have enough clothing to keep you warm and carry safety gear as well as food / drink... The sun is now very strong at times, give thought to having sun cream available. Be careful out there...

During summer 2017 there was a theft of several (4!) open canoes from the old Angler's Hotel site at Ennerdale. Please be careful with equipment - is it marked up with your name etc? - do you know the serial number of your boat?
