Team Copeland

Copeland Canoe Club and Clubmark

We gained Clubmark accreditation in July 2009. We were awarded British Canoeing "Top Club" status in 2012 and gained the extra accreditation of "Paddle-Ability" which helps us understand the needs of paddlers who are disabled, in 2015. Top Club is now the BC "Accredited Quality Mark", which we were awarded in 2016.

Clubmark is the Sport England cross-sport quality accreditation for clubs with junior sections.
British Canoeing accredits clubs that comply with minimum operating standards in four areas:

  • The playing or participation programme
  • Duty of care and child protection
  • Sports equity and ethics
  • Club management

demonstrates to partner organisations, parents and young people that Clubmark accredited clubs are:

  • active
  • accessible
  • accredited
