External events

Our local BC group have a number of events for women, sea kayaking and open boating organised for 2017, other clubs in the area often send us information regarding events they have organised. Our external events page has details.

Our friends at the Whitehaven Harbour Youth Project have sent some information regarding an interesting project at Whitehaven Harbour. Our external events page has more information.

This month...

28 October - Saturday - Afternoon Paddle and BBQ - Derwentwater 1330 at our garage, 1430 at Derwentwater Marina. If you bring food we will provide the means to cook it! Return 1800 - 1830 to the marina. Please be aware they may be a small car park / launching fee. As it will be sunset about 1800 please bring a headtorch if you have one as well as warm clothing.

Be aware...

During the summer there was a theft of several open canoes from the old Angler's Hotel site at Ennerdale. Please be careful with equipment - is it marked up with your name etc? - do you know the serial number of your boat?!

Seaquest 2017

This took place on 25 June, the weather was sunny and warm although rather windy! Over 50 competitors took part in finding orienteering markers around the estuaries at Ravenglass. Many of the competitors took time to let us know how much they had enjoyed the event. Perhaps next year for you? - We are loking at 29 April 2018 as the date.
Full results and pictures on the Seaquest page.
